COVID-19 Updates

We are pleased to announce that we are beginning the process of reopening our offices to routine eye care.

Your health and safety is our priority. Below is a list of the many protocols we have implemented to protect the health of our patients and staff. These protocols were made by following recommendations from the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Screening: Upon arrival, patients will be asked to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire regarding health, travel history and potential COVID-19 exposure.  A temperature screening will be performed on all patients and staff before entering the clinic. Anyone with a fever (100.4 and above), cough, shortness of breath or other symptoms of COVID-19, will be asked to reschedule their appointment. We ask that you stay home and call our office to reschedule if you are noticing any symptoms.

Masks: Every patient and staff member entering the office will be required to wear a mask. We ask that you please bring your own if you have one. If not, a mask will be provided.

Hand Hygiene: Each staff member is required to wash their hands upon entering the clinic. Patients will be required to disinfect with hand sanitizer before entering the clinic. Proper hand washing will be performed by each doctor and staff member before, during and after each examination. Gloves will be worn by the doctors at their discretion.

Disinfecting: Our staff has been trained on strict disinfection protocols. This includes, but is not limited to, disinfecting all instruments, exam chairs, door handles and surfaces between each patient.

Appointments: Our schedule allows us to follow social distancing guidelines and ensure optimal care. That may mean that their are fewer options for appointment times. Appointments are limited to the patient only. Accompanying guests will be encouraged to wait in their vehicle unless required for a legal (i.e. parent/guardian) or medical (i.e. mobility) reason.

Telemedicine: We continue to offer telemedicine consultations. If you are interested, please contact our office for more information.

Social Distancing: To ensure proper social distancing, floor markers are placed on the floor near our check-in/check-out desks. While waiting to check-in or check-out please stand on the marker until instructed to move.

Thank you for your cooperation during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office. We can’t wait to see you soon!
